People of fire, people of ice
~ By:  H. M.
Both brilliant and blinding
Both burning
One with desire for warmth and love
The other with needing a boundary, seeking an opposer
Fire is free
Ice is bound
Or is it really the other way around?
Are those who space themselves away
Free from hurt
Or are the ones who feel and lash out
Free from regret
Maybe it’s the in between who are truly lucky
Things can be so loudly heard
From those who don’t say a word.

A burning sky
the sun breathes
its last sigh

Contradiction
~  By K. C.

Opposites attract
And fight against each other

Fire and Ice
Heaven and Hell
Capulet and Montague

Its all a contradiction
Really all the same

Life and Death
Love and Loss
Good and Evil

Time is an illusion
A circle we’re passing through

Fire and Ice
Light and Dark
The Sun and the Stars

How can we judge
without being judged?

Tall or Short
Thin or Fat
Beautiful or Ugly

Next time you see something odd
Look again

And remember…..
Life’s a contradiction
The Ice Labrynth
~ By R. C.
I am lost in a labrynth of ice and of my own design
there is a light at the exit but i cannot see it
can anyone hear me
i have become my greatest fear and worst enemy
i need someone to find me, but no one knows im here
... this endless cycle drains my will
my hope is fading as i see an end in sight
but at the end of this tunnel there is no light
Tools of Fate
~  By:  R.  M

Fire and Ice
Such cold with a vice
Twisting and turning
And melting like ice.
Conquering, Destroying,
And yet bringing life.
For no man could live
Without fire and ice.
Simple, they deceive
From day into night,
Who will strike first,
Fire?
Or Ice?
They sit and they wait
And crackle and try,
The stars will go out
To live or to die.
These are our deciders
They need no other name,
For Fire and Ice
Are common tools of Fate.
